This is quite different from the one -way communication of the early Internet, whencompanies would post brochure-like website for people to consume.

The real value of social media for companies is the opportunity to connect with peopleonline. (8)______. To promote interaction, companies use Web 2.0 technologies, forexample, blogs, wikis, video. and social networking sites. These tools are used on theInternet, on a company's intranet and on extranets. The Fortune Global 100 companies areusing social media actively.
